so we’re rolling around through this campaing and moving through this insane demonic library in search of lost truths for the librarians, who said they’d point out were all the things we needed to know were after we do a favor for them

cut to the end, and it turns out we were like… helping the develop and build a new world for the guy who was the sole survivor of an apocalypse on his world? And gathering a bunch of strange esoteric knowledge was a key part of this

and after the final boss was taken care of and this new world was started to hatch / come to life, my dude finally gets the answer to his question and shouts it out while laughing his head off and tossing the stick aside (and it happened to land on the world-egg)

ggs campaigns a wrap, everyone else gets set home with the knowledge in toe and they do what they needed to with it. And our friend who the world was being made for IC goes “you know what, I think I want to run a campaign set in this new world, seems like it would be fun” and we’re like hell yeah sure go for it.

And when the campaign starts up… the pope (whom we’re working for) has this… large crystal bowl filled with suckers and tootsie-roll pops sitting on top of her desk, because they had somehow wound up as a fundamental part of the new setting, and were a key part of the ritual that the oracles would perform in order to see the future

and me and teak just about died laughing, since we were the only other two people involved in both games
