okay THAT time the jump to a different channel was not after an extended idle period, how bizzare

that’s so weird on a TECHNICAL level, i do not understand what the mechanism causing that to occur would be, it should not be strictly possible lol

i wonder if it’s something to do with my connection ocassionally dropping for microseconds and when it refreshes it just picked a different channel to load into? since it seems pretty random which one it picks when doing the initial load in anyway

tho if it was that i suspect it’d do it way more often

i’ll have to do a deep dive on the internals of how it’s remembering what channel it thinks you were last in but that SHOULD be stored serverside and somehow that’s being set to… something other than what i’d expect it to be being set to, and i’m not sure what could even theoretically be causing that to occur

like i almost wonder if it’s the server side process crashing and recovering silently and everything Just Works except it loses track of what channel you were last in and resets to a known-good state from who knows when
