Sep 27, 2026	Tan'neave Snake Salme	prolegomenon	Column. ### Suhaël Suhaël is the name of Qarina's brother-shade. I was only able to speak with him once, briefly, when casting [Libra] on Qarina. Wolf has apparently spoken with him before, though. He is generally kind and supportive. It does not seem an Elemental was involved in his being bound to Qarina, though I have yet to verify this. Qarina seems to have---if not the same level of power a human partnered with a Stoicheia might, at least a level of strength that exceeds a normal human's. ### Algol Algol is simply an Elemental---they are a combination of Elemental and Shade. Algol seems to function as something of a system---the Shade part and Elemental parts of themselves are distinct, though they seem to consider themself one whole, albeit a whole with dissonances. I've accessioned some of my memories of my time with Algol below.
Sep 19, 2026	Tan'neave Snake Salme	prolegomenon	From what we The stoicheia (an Ancient term, [definition here](https://strangepaths.aludel.xyz/library/glossary-of-ancient-and-key-terms#stoicheia)) were told about Qarina & her Brother (Suhaël) via [Libra](https://strangepaths.aludel.xyz/library/libra#entry-2663), it seems once-powerful entities that Suhaël is "a willing sacrifice (one of many) who came from afar in order seem to render aid." I am not sure what this means if anything, but I have started to gather together some clues here to hopefully decipher arrived in the mystery here. ## History on Mu Per Zvahr Yhjrn, both Shades and Elementals were here wandering World-That-Was shortly before the desert when the First Cohort awoke roughly 280,000 years ago. Sundering (see [A Letter Inscribed In Crystal](https://strangepaths.aludel.xyz/library/a-letter-inscribed-in-crystal)). They still persist, though they have been severed into at least two parts---Elementals and Shades, both found on Mu. ## Another Kind of Angel Identification The shades Scorpion Queen initially identified the Shades of Mu seem to be outside context entities. Jae is familiar with them, but not from this world nor from this life. entities she had encountered in other worlds and realities. She responded to made the connection based on my description of them with some interesting information. I've excerpted the most useful here. #### Initial Description: > And I can’t see Suhaël except during methexis, but he’s … glyphs? Repeating patterns Shades being primarily compromised of glyphs, and then also shadow, but the shadow seems to hang off the glyphs more than the glyphs seem part of the shadow. Apparently, one of the Kin tried to record the glyphs within the shade, but none of them ever repeated. However, The Scorpion Queen noted that the Shades of Mu seemed to be easy pickings because much-diminished from her memory of them. Furthermore, it seems that the world in question was fuckin. swiss cheese structurally. entities she described seem to have all disappeared long ago. ## History on Mu Per Zvahr Yhjrn, both Shades and so they Elementals were gnawing away and making it worse. i was here wandering the desert when the First Cohort awoke roughly 280,000 years ago. Per the knowledge granted through casting the Rite-tone Libra on Qarina, her brother, the outside Shade attached to her, was "ꙮa willing sacrifice (one of that one looking in, and just ONE many) who came from afar in order to render aidꙮ" ([see Libra](https://strangepaths.aludel.xyz/library/libra#entry-2663)).
