| May 27, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | yes |
| May 27, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | Are we talking about the Sage or this Zosimos character at this point? |
| May 27, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | i mean it IS funny. and honestly wouldn't put it past whoever did all this. |
| May 27, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | Oh! I thought you used "lol" (and ... "lmao"?) to signify when you were making a joke. Though that makes ... hm. That makes a lot of sense. I've long wondered if the Dream-Whales were the mature form of the noöplankton, though I'm not sure if that's correct or not at this juncture. If one does not grow into the other, it does make me wonder if there are ... noöplankton equivalents on Almachadta that we've never noticed? That's probably silly. |
| May 27, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | it's not even a joke, imagine a nooplankton, but like, instead of a jellyfish it was a tiny spokenwood. just. the dumbest little fucker you ever saw. that talks like a weirdo but has some bizarre connection to the cycle of creation. |
| May 27, 2026 | Salme, The Sword-Saint | entries | added note: "Jorule, if I ask you to explain "sproutling" will you get ir" |
| May 27, 2026 | Aurelius | prolegomenon | in stride." ### Noöplankton lol water sproutlings ### Thoughtstorm What occurs...of you. ### Worldsong A phenomena that seems to undergird all of the known worlds (they are *worlds,* Jorule, containing entire populations), perhaps related to the greater concept of "The Song and the Stillness." Perceptible by those with deep connections to their worlds, such as *yeresh* and Iros. Seemingly a representation of the world itself, its functioning, and the life contained within/upon it. ### Plane No one...a larger whole. |
| May 23, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | I mean if we really want to be pissy and/or more Traditional about it, we could probably call them Realms instead of Planes, but given how strong elementally aligned they are, Planes feels like a better fit. |
| May 23, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | While, given the Architect's disdain for our planes, I understand Wolf's objection to the term, I do think Jorule is right about the utility of the term. I've adopted it myself because I do find it valuable in distinguishing between the unsundered world and the planes that currently exists and, additionally, since we have 1.5 party members who are interdimensional travelers, I find it valuable in conversations with them as well. |
| May 23, 2026 | Salme, The Sword-Saint | prolegomenon | is sufficient, Salme? Yes. Thank you, Wolf-Father. ## (The) Beast |
| May 22, 2026 | Aurelius | prolegomenon | populations and civilizations. In much the same way that a house might be divided into different rooms, and each room might be decorated different and be occupied primarily by different people, despite being part of a larger whole. |
| May 22, 2026 | Aurelius | prolegomenon | wholly different worlds. Being a different a plane/aspect of a world does not, of course, preclude it from having entire populations and civilizations. |
| May 22, 2026 | The Wolf-Priest | prolegomenon | cycle. ### _Yeresh_ Make ~~Make Wolf define this one one~~ An Almachadtan term...time went on.) I trust that is sufficient, Salme? ## (The) Beast |
| May 22, 2026 | The Wolf-Priest | prolegomenon | inside out world *Really,* Aurelius? I am tempted to simply define the Beast as "Angry Metal World." Almachadta is a world defined by its abundance of flourishing gnosis, and the subsequent abundance of both plant and animal life. It appears to be contained within some kind of giant sphere, with the illuminating "Centrelight" at its, ah, center, which is also connected to the world's surface by an "Umbilical" of flourishing gnosis. Said Umbilical is functionally unreachable, as the world itself seems to become nonsensical and impassably overgrown as you approach its terminus, a phenomenon known as the "Tangle." It also appears to be a world caught in a continual cycle of life and death, the end of which is heralded by a hunger-inducing sickness known as the "Canker-Gall." The world is then consumed in fire--possibly *literally* consumed--only to be reborn from the "seed" of a shrine contained within the Tangle. ### Centrelight low ~~low tier sun tbh tbh~~ A giant orb of flourishing gnosis that hangs in the center of Almachadta. Waxes and wanes at regular intervals, delineating the duration of a day. Connected to the world's surface by an Umbilical of flourishing gnosis which roots within the impassable phenomenon known as the "Tangle." ### The Sword-Saint...off point tho Perhaps more pertinently to the *topic at hand,* the Tangle is a region surrounding the Umbilical that connects the Centrelight to the surface of Almachadta. As one approaches the Umbilical's terminus, the land becomes increasingly overgrown, and reality itself seems to start to become less...consistent. As noted, it contains the shrine where a Sword-Saint deposits their Mask at the end of a cycle. ### _Yeresh_ Make...define this one An Almachadtan term for a loosely-affiliated order of mendicant priests, of which I am one. Sometimes also referred to "Ember-Priests," or, more formally, "Those Who Hold the Fire. Seemingly a close cognate to the role of "Iros" on Samudra. Potentially the successors (heirs?) of the Unsundered being known as "Zosimos." Generally, *yeresh* are rite-leaders and protectors who maintain the harmony between the peoples of Almachadta, their communities, and with the World Itself. Noted for their ability to hear and, at times, interact with the "Worldsong." It is unclear, upon reflection, as to whether or not this is an innate ability that is *required* to become a *yeresh* or a skill that one develops during the process. Or both. (For myself, it is innate, though I learned to exercise more control over the ability as time went on.) ## (The) Beast...shining upon you. As per my own interactions with it, it is possibly reacting to some kind of...injustice? A wrong done *to* it? ## Sanctuary comfortable...of you. ### Plane No one |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | To sound smarter. |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | Why are you suddenly capitalizing the beginning of your sentences? |
| May 16, 2026 | Aurelius | marginalia | Yeah, it'll make more sense when we get there I think, Buildings will look *very* different from what we've seen up until then. |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | A neuron, or nerve cell, is a cell that is excitable, firing electric signals called action potentials across a neural network in the nervous system, mainly in the central nervous system, and helps to receive and conduct impulses. Neurons communicate with other cells via synapses, which are specialized connections that commonly use minute amounts of chemical neurotransmitters to pass the electric signal from the presynaptic neuron to the target cell through the synaptic gap. |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | honestly, probably. |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | ok this one's fair tho. |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | you also know what this means, you have used maps before |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | you fucking know what meta means |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | What about "now." I know what it means temporally for me, but is it different for you. |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | Neuron? |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | What's a coordinate? |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | What does meta mean? |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | Oh. Thank you. I don't get it, but that's helpful! |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | tru |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | can't even make meta jokes about jokes and questions without wanting the exact coordinate of every neuron in the mind now |
| May 16, 2026 | Aurelius | marginalia | A style of architecture. Thinking about it, you wouldn't have ever seen anything like it. I think it also ballooned out to become a style of genre fiction too...? Tall building, foggy nights, moody horror but sometimes the monsters are real. |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | Though! You do keep going, "don't worry about what you don't know. Just keep asking questions!" and then when I do you're like "WHY ARE YOU ASKING YOU BITCH." Make up your mind, birdboy. |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | Gothic meaning? |
| May 16, 2026 | Salme | marginalia | ??? It's in the glossary I started as a project of mutual understanding???? Don't make jokes you don't want questions about you turd? |
| May 16, 2026 | Aurelius | marginalia | Shorthand for Gothic |
| May 16, 2026 | Jorule | marginalia | why can't we ever make jokes without you wanting ~explanations~ |

We're all on the same page that the five different places (mu/beast/etc) used to be one World before it was broken up into different pieces with a single gnosis aspect/flavor, right? That's what a Plane is - a different aspect of the fragmented world. Because for me at least, referring to them as different worlds was kind of confusing vs, uh, Actual Different Worlds that aren't part of this whole mess. ## Sanctuary comfortable dystopia...to place. ### The (The) Loving Sun Also...out of you. ### Plane No one but me/aurelius has actually used this word before, but it feels useful to define how we've been using it. | May 15, 2026 | Aurelius | prolegomenon | Another glossary of terms specific to each world, as we have come to understand them. Each terms is filed under its appropriate world, and then alphabetically. Please feel free to add to and expand upon this crystal as well --- ## Almachadta inside out world ### Centrelight low tier sun tbh ### The Sword-Saint The memory-keeper of Almachadta. There is only ever one Sword-Saint at a time, but there is always a Sword-Saint. They travel the land, listening to stories and telling stories, performing hope and recording the knowledge of the world. ### The Tangle Big, deep spooky forest with a fallout shelter deep inside. except it's a shitty fallout shelter that only saves one mask What is a *fallout shelter*?? I believe in your ability to use context clues and the very specific way the term was used to derive meaning from it, Salme. Okay. Some sort of shelter that's supposed to protect you from ... what, the end of the world? Is the end of the world enough of a concern in your Bird Lives that they build specific shelters for it? Got it in one, i'm so proud of you! but yes turns out people are insane and there's a not insignificant chance some fucker will create a doomsday weapon during a war at some point. getting off point tho ### _Yeresh_ Make Wolf define this one ## The Beast fight world ### Queenstown this is just the capital. ### Train vehicle on rails. like the liminal express. but with less wings. ### Moon Celestial body in orbit around a planet. Generally reflect the light of a sun onto it. In the case of Beast specifically, they reflect the light and heat of Beast itself back to it, and there should be 12 but the guide has implied they are disappearing for Goddess knows what reason. ## Samudra water world ### Eidesis Per Caion, a "a discipline, of knowing what you know, knowing what you don’t, and not letting the two blend in to each other uninspected. A trained clarity about the contents of one’s own mind." Per Salme, "the ability to not do an acrobatic fucking pirouette off into the void in light of new or upsetting information." Per Aurelius, "taking things in stride." ### Thoughtstorm What occurs when consensus reality breaks down. See below for a more in-depth definition per Caion. ## Mu desert world ### Angry Sun probably not its actual name high tier sun ## Valais goth world |
