Doesn't seem like much of a stretch to think that this might be of before the sundering, and we're fairly certain that's what Wolf's visions are all of as well. All the major points seem to align with things one or the other of you has mentioned, or prominent aspects of a plane that presumably was used as a focal point when the planes were built (up around them...?)
