Fiendcraft
-
Cartogrix - A papyrus subtype that drinks Ink and then uses it to automatically generate a map on spare paper detailing your immediate surroundings. So long as you’ve got ink and paper to feed it while you move, it’ll keep drawing! Mix a drop of ink, incense that smells like sage and some sulfur together, then use it to draw a circle on a piece of paper. Fold the paper into the shape of a bird, then set it on fire and allow it to burn to ash. The fiend should then rise from the ash. (Soil that hasn’t otherwise been recently disturbed can be used as a sulfur substitute, but doing so limits how far away from the soil’s origin point the fiend can map.)
-
Phumex - A fiend capable of briefly altering the laws of gravity in a localized space, enabling those bound to it to float in the air for ten or so minutes. Spread a bit of hydrargyrum over a piece of pumice before sticking the tailfeather of a hippogryff into one of the holes. Let rest for five minutes, then kick the stone into something sturdy. After it smashes, the fiend should reform itself from the debris.
-
Parrot - Of the Lithos order. A bird like fiend used to deliver messages over long distances into remote regions. After it’s made, you simply dictate the message aloud then tell it where to go, and upon reaching the location it will mimic the creator’s voice perfectly to recount the message. Bring a hunting horn that has seen use, ash from either a camp or signal fire, and a piece of mirror. The longer the mirror piece, the longer the messages the Parrot can record. Place all parts together, then smash with a hammer while thinking about the message you wish to send.
