I asked Jae for some advice, and she suggested “metal that has seen use, that meant something to someone, that has protected someone” as a material. I think … that would work very well, but I don’t actually … have anything metal like that? I suppose my current sword, but I’ve yet to use it very much. I was wondering if someone else might have something?

I have little use for my plate mail any more, these days. If it could once again serve a purpose helping to protect the world, that would make it happy, I think. And if it doesn’t work out, then, what, I’m out a breastplate I was keeping around for the fond memories and I still did my best. I could live with that.
