Caion, did you ever get around to testing if people other than us can enter a KGP or not?

We’ve been running a bit cautiously with the KGP gate. It seems to have a monumentally strong force surrounding the threshold itself that scrambles key resonances of any gnosis that crosses it, which obviously… does not apply to you or your companions, and we’ve been loath to test it against an animal, let alone a person. We have, very carefully, transited a plant to and from the platform on the other side of the Path to no visible ill effects but the plant’s gnosis was definitely significantly disrupted. It’s been thriving, since, though - so we’re discussing an animal trial.

Oh, interesting. … How’d you get it back, tie a rope around it and pull after a bit, or…?

Jul 19, 2026

I could give you five paragraphs of dense process notes or I could write “we used a really big stick” and I think we’d both prefer the latter.

Jul 19, 2026

yeah

Jul 19, 2026

Well, we used a really big stick.

We’ve learned that, aside from Tasna, who managed to cross directly from Samudra to the Beast through some very interesting Naiad-only mechanics, it seems like people who travel through the Void tend to lose all but the most closely held elements of themselves, regardless of Architect interference.

Can you say how the gnosis of the plant was disrupted?

Jul 19, 2026

It may be different with the KGP. It may not. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

Jul 19, 2026

Internally… scrambled? The gnosis of a plant is simplistic enough that there’s not a lot of pattern to disrupt, and they tend to be self-correcting. Plants don’t have memories or a sense of self, so it’s difficult to determine what, precisely, is being disrupted, if that makes sense?

Jul 19, 2026

That makes perfect sense. I wonder—could you attempt a fiend? Perhaps even a fiend that is given a memory or two to carry through? Aury might have better ideas on how to do that, but. Just a thought.

…I can’t believe I didn’t think about that, there’s a couple of things that immediately makes me want to have them try.
